Hantsweb Awards 2008 - For the second year running our website has been nominated for the Hantsweb awards.
The Hantsweb Awards, which are now in their sixth year, recognise and reward the best websites from organisations based across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Anyone can nominate and the awards are open to almost everyone, from businesses and schools to special interest and voluntary groups. The one thing they must have in common is an excellent website, one that is simple to use and delivers exactly what the user is looking for.
The awards were launched on the 2nd June at Southampton Outdoor Sports Centre by Hampshire’s Olympic runner and 400 metre British record holder, Iwan Thomas MBE. Shortlisted sites will be announced in early September. The judges will identify finalists for each category in the form of a winner and two runners up. The 3 sites from each category will be announced in mid-October and invited to the Awards Ceremony being held in November 2008, where the winners will be announced.

School Meals Price Increase: With effect from Monday 21st April (start of summer term) the traditional school meal price will be increased from £1.80 to £1.90. This change will also mean that the allowance for a free school meal will increase to £1.90. A letter has been sent home to this affect.

Easter Newsletter - The Latest Spring term Edition of our College Newsletter, issue 2, is being sent home for the holidays and extra copies are available in reception and the school office. Why not read a copy on-line by clicking on the 'Newsletter' link on the left hand side menu. (All dates printed in the Newsletter are correct at date of publishing, but are subject to change.)

Health & Safety - In a recent Health & Safety review the issue of students cycling to school without the proper safety equipment was highlighted. It would be appreciated if all students who cycle to school could be encouraged to wear a safety helmet for protection and check their lights on a regular basis.
